What is the minimum age I can apply for a job with COBS Bread?

Minimum age is determined by Provincial legislation. Please refer to this legislation with regards to the requirement and provisioning of written parental or guardian consent.

Does COBS Bread employ people without working rights in Canada?

No - all of COBS Bread’s employees must be eligible to work in Canada. You will be asked to provide a work visa and passport details during the recruitment process in order to verify your working rights in Canada.

What can I do if I want a job with a COBS Bread bakery that does not have any jobs advertised?

If the bakery you are interested in is not hiring at this time you can still submit an application form at the bakery or via email and sign up for job alerts. Having a job alert set up means you will be contacted by email when there is a position available in your preferred area. Your application will be kept on file for up to 12 months or longer if you want us to inform you of when positions become available.

How much will I get paid?

Rates of pay depend on job, experience and location. If you have any questions regarding rates of pay, please contact your selected bakery.

What hours will I work? Are hours guaranteed?

The number of hours you work depends on the position and the needs of each bakery. A full time employee can expect a minimum of 30 hours a week. For part time positions, the hours you work will be discussed during the interview process and your availability and flexibility will also be taken into consideration.
